Feasibility study completed for Nairobi BRT Lines 3 and 4

With support from the European Union, a consortium led by Ingérop has prepared a feasibility study for BRT on Lines 3 and 4 west, covering Juja Rd, Ngong Rd, and Valley Rd/Mbagathi Way. Work on the full detailed designs is expected to start soon. A key element to be addressed in the detailed designs is the integration of Lines 3 and 4 with Line 1 in the Nairobi CBD. Lines 3 and 4 also intersect with Nairobi’s Outer Ring Road, which is being improved with support from the African Development Bank and is the proposed alignment for BRT Line 5. ITDP is working with stakeholders to ensure that these projects are developed in a coordinated fashion.
