A104 BRT service plan officially submitted

A104 BRT service plan officially submitted December, ITDP submitted the final report for the service plan for the BRT on Nairobi's A104 highway, the first BRT system in Kenya. Five scenarios were tested comparing direct and trunk-feeder service scenarios on three different infrastructure scenarios. The optimal scenario featured direct services travelling on infrastructure extended from the A104 Highway into the central business district and onto the congested Langata Road. A report detailing the results were delivered to Kenya National Highways Authority and Kenya's Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, the two agencies in charge of implementation. ITDP presented this service plan to the government in Nairobi and it was well received.
